Significant event or material change notices

On 27 September 2023, existing Bendigo SmartStart Super and Bendigo SmartStart Pension members were notified that Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Ltd announced it has signed an agreement to sell Bendigo Superannuation Pty Ltd to Betashares Australia Holdings Pty Ltd, subject to certain conditions and regulatory approval.

Existing Bendigo SmartStart Super and Bendigo SmartStart Pension members were notified of changes to the buy-sell spreads for each of the managed fund investment options, effective from 14 September 2022.

Existing Bendigo SmartStart Super and Bendigo SmartStart Pension members were notified of changes to the buy-sell spread for the Sandhurst Strategic Investment Fund investment option, effective from 6 July 2022.

On 7 June 2022, members of Bendigo SmartStart Super and Bendigo SmartStart Pension members were notified of changes to the buy-sell spreads and target asset allocations for selected underlying managed funds as well as a reduction in the investment return objective for Bendigo Defensive Wholesale Fund and Bendigo Defensive Index Fund.

Existing members of Bendigo SmartStart Super were notified of changes to insurance cover effective 1 July 2022. New members who join the fund prior to 1 July 2022, but after the date of the initial letter being issued, will also be notified via a separate letter.

Employers registered with the Bendigo Superannuation Contribution Service (BSCS) were advised that from Friday 3rd June 2022, the provider of the BSCS changed to SuperChoice Services Pty Limited (SuperChoice) (ABN 78 109 509 739), Authorised Representative (Number 336522) of PayClear Services Pty Limited.

Existing members of the Bendigo SmartStart Super and Bendigo SmartStart Pension were notified that the Trustee and issuer of Bendigo SmartStart Super and Bendigo SmartStart Pension is changing from Sandhurst Trustees Limited to Bendigo Superannuation Pty Ltd as of 1 May 2022. 

Existing Bendigo SmartStart members were notified of changes made to the target asset allocations of some investment options as well as a reduction in the risk levels for some of the investment options during the last year.

Effective 1 December 2020, the commission component of 20% (plus GST) from insurance premiums which applied to some insurance cover in place prior to 1 July 2014 was removed from Bendigo SmartStart Super.

Existing Bendigo SmartStart Super and Bendigo SmartStart Pension members were notified of changes to the buy-sell spreads for each of the managed fund investment options, effective from 5 August 2020.
