Retirement income strategy

The Retirement Income Covenant came into effect on 1 July 2022, and requires all superannuation trustees to develop a retirement income strategy for their members approaching retirement.

Our strategy aims to support and empower our members to make informed decisions when it comes to planning their retirement.

Bendigo SmartStart Outcomes Assessment - as at 30 June 2023

We are required by law to carry out an annual assessment of the outcomes our super products provide to our members.

The assessment reviews how we are delivering against our objectives across areas that will have an impact on members’ retirement savings. This includes investment performance, fees and costs, insurance, as well as the overall size and scale of the fund and benefits provided to members.

Overall, we are pleased with the results and as Trustee have determined that our Bendigo SmartStart product offering promotes the financial interests of our members. A summary of each assessment completed for Bendigo SmartStart can be viewed below:
